StopSmith started at home. My wife is a Rover sitter, and every new request that came in set off the same question at our house: can we actually fit this in?
The calendar said yes more often than the road did. A noon walk looked wide open, until you remembered the visit before it ended at 11:45 on the other side of town. Figuring it out meant flipping between the Rover app, the family calendar and a map, usually while parked in a client's driveway with a dog waiting at the window.
Saying yes to the wrong request is easy to do, and it costs more than a few minutes. It means a rushed visit, a client left waiting, or missing something at home that really matters.
So we built the tool we wanted: one that knows where each visit is, how long the drive takes, how much time is really left, and whether we can make it to our daughter's horseback riding lessons on time or not. It checks a request in seconds and says plainly whether it fits, and if it doesn't, what time would.
We use it ourselves. Everything in it, from the drive times to the wording on each screen, has been tried out on real days with real visits and real clients.

Who it's for
StopSmith is made first for pet sitters and dog walkers who book through Rover and keep a personal calendar alongside it. The same idea helps anyone whose work moves from one address to the next, such as mobile groomers, house cleaners and in-home tutors, and we plan to support more of that work over time.
